Welcome to my site! I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science and the Director of Research in the
Office of Sponsored Awards and Research Support (SARS)
at the University of South Carolina Upstate.
I received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida.
My research is focused in the exciting area of visual and voice guided industrial robotics.
This is interdisciplinary work at the cross section of AI, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Industrial Robotics.
We have established strong robotics-related partnerships with Staubli,
SEW Eurodrive, and others.
I am originally from Saba, a small Dutch island in
the Caribbean.
