Robotics Summer Camps

Next Camp: June 11-15, 2012 (9am-1pm OR 12pm-4pm)

Flyer, Application Form

I just wanted to thank you for organizing the Robotics Camp this summer. My son, X enjoyed it very much. Everything-- from the activities to the field trips-- were so well planned and thought out. (X even mentioned how great the lunches were too!) I am also grateful for the sponsors who provided the grants. This made it possible for my child to participate.

The Division of Math and Computer Science at USC Upstate organizes Robotics Summer Camps for younger kids (around the ages of 12-16) interested in science and technology. The kids spend time in the USC Upstate robotics laboratory which houses several Stäubli industrial robotic arms as well as mobile robotic devices like the NXT Mindstorm robots. SEW Eurodrive sponsors the robotics camps every year so that only a small application fee is required. Some of our previous sponsors and partners include: the Spartanburg Youth Council, the Spartanburg Science Center, and the Promised Land Ministries.

Public, private, and homeschooled students are all welcomed to apply.

The camp costs nothing! The Camp is free to those selected to attend thanks to our Sponsor - IT-ology. The purpose of the Camp is to encourage high-achieving South Carolina high school students with a proven record of accomplishment to pursue an interest in careers in Computer Science and Information Technology.
