A two credit course (30 contact hours) designed to lead teachers in the discovery and exploration of concepts taught in Algebra I using manipulatives, computer software, and graphing calculators. Inductive and deductive reasoning and communication of ideas is emphasized. Topics explored include the function concept, linear polynomials, linear systems, absolute value, and systems of linear inequalities.
