Functions: A Connecting Thread for Mathematics
A two-credit (30 contact hour) course designed to improve the ability of teachers to visualize functions and to demonstrate connections among arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry through functions. Cooperative group activities engage participants in discovery of properties of graphs of families of functions through the use of technology. Families explored include polynomial, power, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions.
