My responsibilities surround my role as a faculty member in the Division of Natural Sciences & Engineering at USC Upstate. More specifically, I teach courses in geology, advise students in planning their academic program, and work in the University and beyond in other ways that harness my background in serving the needs of the broader community. Some of my specific interests include environmental geology, evolution, Earth history (particularly Precambrian), ocean processes and environments, maps and mapping, and science information. The bottom line is that I enjoy working with students and faculty in pushing back the darkness, and making geology more approachable, useful, and sometimes fun.
