Dr. Judy Beck is an associate professor of science education at the University of South Carolina Upstate. Prior to coming to USC Upstate, she taught general and science methods at the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse and science to K-12 students in Ohio. At USC Upstate, she teaches science methods courses and supervises teacher candidates in field experiences. Dr. Beck received her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education - Comprehensive Science from Bowling Green State University and her Master's in Secondary Education and Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Toledo. Dr. Beck’s current research interests include the change process in teacher education and the use of technology (GPS & GIS) in the science classroom.
