Instead of wasting your ear-buds on music--how about expanding your mind with information? Open up to the wonderful world of podcasts! Here are some of the ones that I listen to (or watch, in the case of vodcasts). You DO NOT need an iPod to listen or watch these--you just need a computer capable of downloading iTunes or some other podcatcher program (iPodder, Yahoo's version, Armangil, juice, Synclosure, etc.). Click on the link below to download iTunes (it is free), then you can get these (and many more) podcasts--all of the ones listed on this page are free, though an exhaustive list is available through the iTunes store and some may have a fee associated with them. Once you have iTunes you can search for podcasts related to your interests (science, technology, nature, word origins, comedy, etc.) There are now thousands upon thousands (if not millions) of podcasts to enjoy--of course, there is a lot of junk out there, too, so please be careful. Good luck and enjoy!
Top-rated podcasts (website link where available, followed by iTunes subscription button--again, all of this is free!)
